Manchester United are reportedly set to potentially fight over Juventus manager Massimo Allegri with Real Madrid as both clubs attempt to secure their futures.
The Italian is considered to be amongst the top managers in the world but his future with his current club appears to be up in the air.
With Zinedine Zidane’s departure from Madrid, many have linked him to return to his former club in Juventus.
Though Allegri has performed admirably with the Italian giants so far, there is said to be pressure on him to deliver the Champions League trophy.
Zidane is also said to favour a return to management with the Serie A side and is not willing to consider approaches from anyone else such as United.
According to Calcio Mercato, La Stampa report that both the Red Devils and Real are eyeing up a move for Massimo to replace their current respective caretaker managers.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has filled in after Jose Mourinho’s sacking and although Mauricio Pochettino was believed to be the favourite for the permanent role, the Juventus boss is considered to be a target too.
Allegri does have more of a record of winning trophies than the Argentine and so could be higher up the list of candidates than most care to admit.
