Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has urged his club to keep Callum Hudson-Odoi at all costs amid interest from German heavyweights Bayern Munich, reports the Evening Standard.
The Bundesliga side are believed to have had four bids for the English hot-prospect rejected with Maurizio Sarri reluctant to sell.
However, Bayern are said to be ready to return with a £40 million bid before the deadline on Thursday.
Coupled with the reports of Hudson-Odoi handing in a transfer request, this new bid will become difficult for Chelsea to reject.
And Rudiger is keen for his side to do just that with such a young talent on their hands.
What I can say is clear: Chelsea have to make him stay. It will be a pity if this young talent leaves us. He decides his future but Chelsea need to give him a new contract.
The Blues are prepared to match Bayern’s personal terms of £85,000-a-week but the key factor in negotiations could be that Niko Kovac’s side are promising regular football.
This has not been the case this season so far with Chelsea, with the winger only starting him six times.
The 18-year old may have added to his transfer fee after he capped off an impressive performance in Chelsea’s FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday with a well-taken goal on Sunday night.
