Manchester United discover their Champions League last 16 opponents

Manchester United will face French champions Paris Saint Germain in the last 16 of the Champions League next year.

Jose Mourinho’s men finished second behind Juventus in their group, squandering the chance to move into first by losing 2-1 in Valencia last week.

PSG will head into the game as overwhelming favourites against a Man United side leaking goals and devoid of confidence. That said, Thomas Tuchel’s side have been knocked out at the last 16 stage in the previous two years – albeit against Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The first leg will take place at Old Trafford on Tuesday 12 February, with the second leg taking place in Paris three weeks later.

Edison Cavani, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar up against United’s defence over 180 minutes? If I did not laugh, I would cry.
