Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly accused Paul Pogba of showing no respect to the fans or his teammates during the draw with Southampton.
The Frenchman was said to have been substituted in the goalless draw against Crystal Palace last week and dropped for the late win against Young Boys mid-week for a similar reason.
The midfielder was at the time accused of not playing with any heart and fans agree on that point when he dragged himself across the pitch against Southampton.
Pogba and Mourinho’s relationship was previously said to be at an all time low before but it seems as though matters have gotten even worse.
As poor as the former Juventus man was, he wasn’t the only one with Marcus Rashford the exception against the Saints.
According to Team Talk, Duncan Castles claimed Jose blasted Paul, calling him “a virus” and insisted he didn’t show any respect to his teammates or fans.
The rant goes on with the former Chelsea man saying: “You don’t play. You don’t respect players and supporters. And you kill the mentality of the good, honest people around you.”
Mourinho has a tendency to vilify one of his stars at every club he goes to with Iker Casillas, Eden Hazard and John Terry all examples of it.
It’s clear Pogba is the victim this time around but it’s difficult to argue with what the manager said if it’s true.
The World Cup winner appears to be going through the motions of late and is either waiting for Jose to be sacked or waiting for the summer in order to leave.
