Manchester United fans have an early reason to be concerned ahead of their clash against Manchester City with there being no sign of Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman was said to have picked up a small knock following the incredible victory of Juventus mid-week with Jose Mourinho failing to confirm if he will start or not.
The midfielder didn’t train with the rest of the teammates as he avoided aggravating his injury as he attempts to race against time to be considered match-fit.
Pogba was the star of the show the last time United travelled to the Etihad as he netted a brace to help his team secure an incredible second half comeback win.
It’s clear if Mourinho’s men are to have another great game then the former Juventus man will need to be involved one way or the other.
The following players have been confirmed according to Manchester Evening News: Goalkeepers- David de Gea, Sergio Romero and Lee Grant.
Defenders- Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw.
Midfielders- Nemanja Matic, Andreas Pereira, Fred, Scott McTominay, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Marouane Fellaini.
Forwards- Anthony Martial, Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford.
It is important to note that players, including Paul have occasionally not been spotted prior to matches at the Lowry hotel but still make the match-day squad nonetheless.
