Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is reportedly determined to convince AC Milan to sign him on a permanent deal.
According to claims from Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport, as cited by Calciomercato, the Frenchman is intent on remaining at San Siro beyond his current loan spell.
Bakayoko joined Milan towards the end of the summer transfer window on a season-long loan deal. It is believed that this move included an option to buy clause for the Serie A giants, set at a price of €35 million.
Chelsea signed the central midfielder from AS Monaco in 2017 in a deal reported to have been worth £42 million.
However, the 24-year-old flattered to deceive in his maiden season in English football as he fell out of favour under Antonio Conte and received criticism for his subpar performances.
Nevertheless, after a shaky start at Milan, Bakayoko is catching the eye with some combative performances in the midfield and is said to be keen on convincing the club to pay the aforementioned €35m to sign him permanently.
