Chelsea are looking to sign Benfica starlet Joao Felix before the attacking midfielder signs a new deal with the Portuguese giants, the Daily Mirror report.
The 18-year-old has been offered a new deal which will see his release clause increase to £105 million, and the contract could be signed as soon as Monday.
However, his current release clause is around £45 million, with Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri keen on bringing the teenager to Stamford Bridge.
Felix has appeared in five games for Benfica this season and has impressed, scoring against Aves and Sporting Lisbon.
The teenager, who can operate in behind the striker and on the left hand side, is regarded as one of Europe’s future stars, with numerous teams in France and Spain also keeping an eye on the creative midfielder.
Fellow Premier League side West Ham attempted to bring Felix to England last month, however, with Benfica desperate to get as much value for their star as possible, The Blues face a race against time in their attempts to sign the Portuguese talent for as little as possible.
