AC Milan manager Leonardo is eyeing up a cut-price deal for Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The Frenchman is currently on loan at the Serie A giants, following a torrid first season at Stamford Bridge.
There have been reports claiming Bakayoko has been similarly unimpressive in Milan, but his form of late has been more encouraging.
The 24-year-old has a €35million release clause in his Chelsea contract, but Calciomercato claim that is “unlikely” to be met.
Leonardo is interested in signing Bakayoko permanently, however, but for a discounted price.
The report states that the Milan boss “will count on Bakayoko’s desire to stay when negotiation with the Blues, although it might not be enough.”
The former Monaco midfielder’s days at Chelsea look numbered but he looks to be enjoying his football again in Italy.
Whether or not the Blues agree to a cheaper deal remains to be seen but it could benefit all parties.
