Manchester United players have completely turned on Jose Mourinho and believe his dismissal from the club is an inevitability, according to reports.
The side has entered a terminal slump in form under Mourinho, winning just once at home all season and failing to win any of their last four games in all competitions.
Mourinho has cut a gloomy figure since the summer and has seen his popularity among supporters sink following continued public criticisms of certain players and an ongoing feud with star player Paul Pogba.
And according to the Mirror‘s David Anderson, the dressing room has grown weary of Mourinho’s continued public jibes, which has diminished team spirit, and believe he will soon be sacked from his post at Old Trafford.
There is a belief among players, shared by supporters, that Mourinho is pointing the finger at everyone but himself for the team’s current situation. His decision to drop Paul Pogba as vice-captain and use Scott McTominay – and not Eric Bailly, an actual defender – in a back three against West Ham United was poorly received by the dressing room just like it was among the club’s support.
Put simply: Mourinho has sucked the life out of this team. Change is an absolute necessity.
