Man United fans react to Pogba's performance vs Chelsea

Manchester United fans have reacted positively to Paul Pogba’s performance vs Chelsea despite his error leading to their first goal.

Jose Mourinho’s men kicked the fixture off fairly well as his tactics appeared to be spot on until they were undone by Antonio Rudiger.

Pogba was tasked with man-marking the Blues’ player during corners but failed to track his run which costed United.

Thankfully things picked up in the second half when Anthony Martial equalised and the former Juventus man was once again central in all of his side’s good play.

Fans were displeased with Paul initially but his quality eventually shone through and he escaped being made the scapegoat.

Brilliant work from Pogba in the lead up to that goal. Great effort from Mata with his shot and ball back in. Fantastic finish from Martial. Come on reds.

The second-half football was brilliant to watch, though. Pogba and Mata overshadowed Jorginho, Rashford had his best game from the right and Martial’s enjoying his best form of the year. Same front six should start vs Juve. #mufc

Paul Scholes had commented on how talented Pogba is but how he happens to switch off defensively at times and against Chelsea that proved to be true.

Hopefully he can cut those errors out of his game eventually and Manchester United can profit from it.

The Frenchman is clearly the man the team is being built around and if Mourinho can continue to try to get the best out of him then everyone will benefit from it.

Nemanja Matic and Fred were both specifically brought in to help Paul excel and now it’s down to him to continue performing.
