Man United fans react to Martial's performance vs Newcastle

Manchester United fans were definitely pleased with Anthony Martial following his performance in the win against Newcastle.

Jose Mourinho’s men secured an incredible comeback victory at home having been down 2-0 within 10 minutes of the first half.

United managed to score three in the final 20 minutes of the match to turn things around completely and Martial was crucial in the win.

The Frenchman was handed a rare start and managed to repay his manager’s faith with fans hoping he can now kick on.

Anthony has had his attitude questioned in the past but the hope is this is the start of a new Anthony who can continuously deliver.

Many times in the past when things were going bad, Martial has tended to shy away and be a bit lost out there. Today he dug in and was crucial to the comeback. Feel like he’s building his confidence up again and it’s so good to see.

The former AS Monaco man was labelled inconsistent and there is some truth to those claims despite his fans refusing to acknowledge it.

Martial’s definitely not helped by Mourinho’s insistence on throwing on his back-up players in random moments or at times they aren’t match-fit but he also has to take some responsibility for his form.

Still a youngster it’s not too much surprise to see him suffer from inconsistency issues but he will soon be expected to maintain good performances such as the one against Newcastle on a regular basis.
