Former Chelsea target Robert Lewandowski has confirmed that he had offers to leave Bayern Munich over the summer.
Both Real Madrid and Chelsea were heavily linked with a move to sign the Polish striker during the transfer window when it looked like his immediate future would be away from the Bundesliga champions.
Reports claimed that the player was becoming increasingly frustrated with life in Germany.
Lewandowski was one of the many strikers to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with Alvaro Morata’s future also up in the air.
The striker, who was speaking to Sportowe Fakty, as cited on Calciomercato, has revealed that he could have left the club.
I have received several from different clubs and I have spoken openly. I knew, regardless of the offer, that the club’s response would always be no. I did not like some things between me and Bayern, I had to clear it up first. Now I’m fine here and I can not speak of disappointment because I’m in one of the biggest clubs in the world.
The 30-year-old has often been linked with moves away from the Bundesliga champions in the past after previously missing out on a move to Real Madrid.
