Sarri thinks Chelsea are in 'pole position' to complete big-money January deal

Chelsea are reportedly in ‘pole position’ to land Federico Chiesa during the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Express claim that both Chelsea and Napoli are being linked with the player, but Maurizio Sarri believes that his side holds an advantage.

Napoli are interested in the player, but Sarri believes that they will not be able to match the financial muscle of his Chelsea side should they make a move in January.

Chiesa was widely expected to move on from Fiorentina over the summer, with links to Juventus and Chelsea during the transfer window.

At the age of just 20, Chiesa is widely regarded as the next best thing to come through the Italian football system.

He has established himself as one of Fiorentina’s key players at such a tender age and is being heavily tipped to achieve big things in the game.
