Paul Allen, the owner of NFL side Seattle Seahawks is reportedly considering a bid to buy Chelsea.
According to the Mirror, who cite claims from Euro United, the American businessman has held talks over a potential bid.
Meetings over a potential move reportedly took place in New York throughout September.
Allen is said to have met with Pini Zahavi, who is known to be a close friend of the Chelsea owner and could help the Russian in the process of selling the club.

The 65-year-old also owns the basketball team Portland Trail Blazers.
Recent reports have suggested that Roman Abramovich could be tempted into selling the club if his asking price is met.
Issues with his Visa have seen tensions run high behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge, with growing uncertainty around his long-term future at the club.
Abramovich bought Chelsea back in 2003 for just £140 million and could now bank as much as £3 billion if he sells the club.
