Manchester United fans were absolutely delighted with Fred following his performance vs Wolves at Old Trafford.
Sir Alex Ferguson was in attendance for the first time since he was hospitalised and things were already emotional before the match even started.
Thankfully the Brazilian was on hand to make sure a goal marked the occasion and he gave United the lead at a time they weren’t at their best.
Fred started as a part of a midfield three alongside Paul Pogba with Marouane Fellaini sitting behind him.
With the way the trio compliment each other, there’s a real case to be made in favour of them starting together consistently.
Fred has been class in this first half. Up and down the pitch, grafting hard, as well as joining the attacks and scoring his first goal for Manchester United. Definitely adapting to English football now. Looks sharp.

It was Fred’s first goal for the club and there’s a sense there’ll be plenty more to come.
The midfielder’s performance wasn’t only impressive due to the goal however, as he covered every blade of grass on the pitch.
There were some concerns Fred would need a while to adapt to his new surroundings after some rather average appearances but he seems to have grown since the start of the season.
The goal he scored could give him the confidence to carry on improving and settling in quicker.
