Former Chelsea and Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has tipped to the Blues to challenge for the Premier League title under Maurizio Sarri.
Ranieri told Radio Anch’io lo Sport, as cited on Calciomercato, that he believes the Blues have a togetherness within the squad that could boost their title chances.
The Italian, who visited the club’s training ground earlier this season, believes that the players are all behind Sarri.
Sarri has a good squad. I saw Sarri’s training in Chelsea and I can say that there is a good feeling between the players and their manager. They follow him. He will fight until the end of the season to win the Premier League title.
There had been plenty of talk among fans and pundits about Chelsea’s title credentials under Sarri this season during the build-up to their London derby against West Ham.
The Blues went into the game off the back of five wins from five, but a goalless draw at the London Stadium saw them drop to third in the Premier League.
Chelsea remain unbeaten domestically as they prepare to face league leaders Liverpool twice in the space of one week, both in the Carabao Cup and in the Premier League.
