Gonzalo Higuain has hinted that Maurizio Sarri was the only person at Chelsea who wanted him to join this summer.
Speaking as he was unveiled as an AC Milan player, as reported by David Amoyal, Higuain hints that those behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge were not so keen to bring him to the club.
Sarri was only one who wanted me at Chelsea, here at Milan everyone wanted me. The motivation and conviction they showed at Milan was fundamental.

The Argentinian striker was heavily linked with a move away from Juventus when Cristiano Ronaldo was signed from Real Madrid.
Both AC Milan and Chelsea emerged as the frontrunners to sign the player, but at the age of 30, there were some concerns about a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are known to have a strict policy when it comes to signing players over the age of 30, with concerns over the lack of resale value that the player would hold.
