Pundit reveals Mourinho's days at Man United are numbered

Pundit Ian Wright believes Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho’s days are numbered at the club, claiming he’s on borrowed time.

The Portuguese manager has come under huge amounts of criticism of late and he’s even been made favourite to lose his job first out of all the Premier League managers.

Only two matches have been played yet many believe Mourinho won’t still be at the helm by the time Christmas comes around.

United’s poor pre-season coupled with a lack of big signings has seen the former Chelsea boss quickly become one of those touted to be unemployed.

Jose has little time to turn things around but a win against Tottenham on Monday could see a better mood at Old Trafford.

According to Manchester Evening News, Ian said to the Sun: “With United, though, there is no signal of them rising to the challenge.

“There’s more of a whimper than a roar. There is no intensity, no going for the throat, no anything of what United has always been about.

“In the days of their greatest boss, we all used to talk about Fergie time. In Mourinho’s case, sadly I feel it is fast becoming borrowed time.”

Despite all the talk in the media, Mourinho remains relatively backed by the Manchester United fans who are more frustrated by the board and owners than by him.

The former Real Madrid manager publicly stated his desire to sign two more players following the transfers of Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant.

However, Jose was left empty handed, even without the signing of a centre-back that was considered a priority.

United supporters feel their manager wasn’t adequately backed in the transfer market and feel the owners are trying to keep the money for themselves.
