Neville reveals how Mourinho can make things right at Man United

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has revealed how Jose Mourinho can make things right by grabbing a win against Tottenham on Monday night.

There’s been quite a bit of time between the upcoming clash and the shock loss against Brighton last week that has seen plenty of rumours surface.

Reports emerged that Mourinho could potentially lose his job with many predicting he won’t make it past Christmas.

There’s also been plenty of criticism placed at the Portuguese manager’s doorstep but Neville believes it’ll all go away if he can grab all three points against Spurs.

United desperately need to beat the London club to show that last week was just a blip and that they’re serious title contenders.

According to Manchester Evening News, Gary said: “I think the most important thing is. We talk about the press conference of Jose Mourinho and how he is.

“You can talk about the mistakes the team have made. The only thing that’s going to put it right is a win. It’s the only thing that can quieten people down.

“It’s the only thing that can make the noise go away is winning and the Manchester United players have that in their hands on Monday and it’s an intriguing game for both clubs because Tottenham have to turn up.

“And for Manchester United if Tottenham turn up it will be a very difficult game.”

Things are unlikely to disappear overnight just because of a result but a win against Tottenham will definitely have people breathing easier.

There was already talk of Jose losing his job before the season began and just two games later it has gotten even worse.

The Red Devils’ board would be stupid to dismiss the Portuguese manager unless he’s unable to match the minimum requirement of top four football.

An improvement in the style of football being played would also see some fans get off his back.
