Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has responded to claims he’s lost the support of the players by insisting there can be no unity in the club without him.
The Portuguese manager was let down by his employees as they crumbled against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.
The London club beat United 3-0 at Old Trafford as they rubbed salt in the wounds of the shock loss to Brighton last Sunday.
Mourinho is likely to receive even more criticism following the result but dismissed the claims of unrest in the dressing room.
The Red Devils must put an end to their poor performances or they will risk ending the season without a top four spot.
Mourinho: "The solidarity between the players was clear. The team is united. There is no union without the manager." #mulive [sky]

Some reports in the media claimed Jose’s rumoured issues with Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial have taken their toll.
Others believed the players simply don’t buy into the manager’s philosophy or style of play.
Whatever it is, it was said the Portuguese boss is no longer supported by his players with the loss against Tottenham labelled as evidence.
Mourinho though insisted his stars showed unity as well as spirit on the pitch and it’s a unity that can’t exist if it’s not shared with their manager.
