Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is looking forward to learning from Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri following his arrival in the Premier League.
Guardiola has previously spoken of his excitement to lock horns with Sarri in the top-flight throughout the course of the upcoming season and ahead of the sides’ Community Shield outing this weekend, the Spaniard was full of praise again for his counterpart.
Sarri came head to head with Guardiola twice last season in the Champions League group stages, with the Italian in charge of Napoli at the time.
However, a new challenge faces Sarri in the 2018/19 campaign as he looks to enjoy a successful first season in English football with the Blues.

Guardiola, as quoted by Goal, discussed how Sarri can help to influence Premier League football this season and spoke of his admiration for him as a coach.
I’m happy that a manager of that level is here in the Premier League. I am going to learn a lot to see him every weekend. Being here I feel we are going to improve a lot [because of] his ideas in England.
I saw the games against Inter and Arsenal and immediately I saw he got it, he did it. The team already in a short time play like he wants. Of course, they need more time to work on everything but the ideas are already there. I think it will be a good game.
Sarri will be desperate to get his Chelsea career off to a flying start by winning the Community Shield against Guardiola’s City side on Sunday.
