PSG have reportedly agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich star and Manchester United target Jerome Boateng, potentially ruining Jose Mourinho’s transfer plans.
The Portuguese manager was said to have been interested in the German all summer long but no known official move was made to make it happen.
Nonetheless, Mourinho’s need for a centre-back isn’t exactly a secret anymore and Boateng does fit the profile he’s looking for.
The former Real Madrid boss is said to be looking for a proven, experienced leader and it’s fair to say the German is all of the above.
The problem is that he’s also injury prone, has a history of having been with Manchester City and there must be a reason Bayern are willing to cut ties.
According to Manchester Evening News, Paris United report Jerome has agreed personal terms with PSG despite there being no agreement with Bayern though it’s understood they’re happy to sell.
It’s been said Jose is actively chasing Leicester’s Harry Maguire, Barcelona’s Yerry Mina and Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld but without the Munich star, it could leave him with no fall-back option.
Either way, PSG still need to agree a transfer fee before anything can happen so United can still be a part of the bidding war if they want.
