Chelsea defender completes loan exit

Tomas Kalas has completed yet another loan move away from Stamford Bridge to join Championship side Bristol City.

The club have confirmed that Kalas is on the move once again after spending pre-season with the Blues.

The defender was widely expected to leave the club, but it was yet to be seen if it would be on a permanent basis or not.

Kalas attracted interest from a number of clubs throughout the summer, with Fulham particularly keen to sign him permanently.

The Czech defender spent last season on loan with the Whites, but they were unable to match Chelsea’s asking price in order to complete a permanent deal.

It is believed that Chelsea were asking for a fee in the region of £10 million for the player.

Kalas will not be the only Chelsea player at Ashton Gate, he’ll be playing alongside Jay Dasilva, who also joined the club on loan earlier this summer.
