Anthony Martial has been fined two weeks’ worth of wages after failing to report back to training at Manchester United.
The Frenchman has been tipped for a move away from Old Trafford ever since his agent stated in June he was unhappy at the club.
Jose Mourinho stoked the fire further when he demanded Martial rejoined the tour just three days after his partner had given birth to his second child.
And according to the Sun‘s Daniel Cutts, Martial has been fined £180,000 for failing to report back to training with the Man United side.

Mourinho claimed after the win over Real Madrid on Tuesday that he “didn’t know” whether Martial would return to the squad after failing to report back after the birth of his child.
Whether this fine really happened is, in a way, beside the point. The fact of the matter is that Martial’s time at Old Trafford looks to be coming to a miserable and protracted end. His manager’s cold remarks towards him last weekend only compounded the notion that the pair’s relationship is untenable.
If anything, Martial will see the birth of his child as a blessing in more ways than one. Having broken away from the squad, the chances of him coming back are next to non-existent.
