Zlatan Ibrahimovic was up to his old habits for LA Galaxy in their MLS win over Orlando, netting his first hat-trick since joining the club in March.
The 35-year-old failed to recover full fitness during his second campaign at Manchester United, managing just two starts in total, and joined Galaxy for free towards the end of the season.
Zlatan’s first game was typically explosive, scoring a wonder-goal soon and heading home an injury time winner, but his display last night was his most complete.
Here is a video of the Swede single-handedly winning a crucial MLS game for Galaxy with a superb second half hat-trick.

That was Zlatan’s first hat-trick since Man United’s 3-0 win over Saint Etienne in February 2017. He now has 15 goals to his name after 17 games with Galaxy, claiming six assists in that time as well.
In other words, Zlatan’s decision to leave Europe has been justified: the pace of MLS football suits him better than the harsh realities of the Premier League, and his online profile – helped by a number of sometimes funny and sometimes downright bizarre videos – has skyrocketed during his time in a city notorious for producing showpiece celebrities.
Having left a lasting impact on the top divisions in Sweden, Holland, Italy, Spain, France and England, Zlatan is now adding the United States to that list.
