Manchester United will listen to offers for Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian over the next month but won’t let the pair leave for cheap, according to reports.
The defensive duo fell miles down the pecking order over the 2017/18 season and have been expected to leave the club for some time.
Blind was reduced to just three starts in all competitions since late November while Darmian only managed nine starts all season.
And according to ESPN‘s Rob Dawson, Man United will be open to hearing offers for the pair but aren’t prepared to let them leave for cheap.
Blind’s contract runs out next year while Darmian has the option to extend for another year after next season, putting United in a strong negotiating position. The report states Ed Woodward is hopeful of recouping a considerable segment of the funds expended on the pair in 2014 and 2015.
The Dutchman has been strongly linked with a move back to boyhood club Ajax and even recently admitted he’d be open to a move, while Darmian continues to be linked with Juventus, with other Serie A sides such as Inter Milan and Roma also expressing their interest in signing the full-back.
