Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku has lauded his teammate Marcus Rashford as one of the most complete number 9s and hopes the two of them can enjoy playing with each other for a long time.
The Belgian international has been showing the world just what a striker can do himself, grabbing four goals in two games so far in the race for the golden boot.
Rashford is yet to get going in the World Cup but he’s had a little less time to make an impact as he only started one match, came on as a sub in another match and missed one match entirely.
There’s still hope however that the Englishman can become a growing influence on his nation and perhaps he will come up against Lukaku once more.
The pair have been competing for the same spot in the starting XI back at Old Trafford but it’s fair to say that so far it’s the former Everton man who’s won that race.
Lukaku: “Marcus is basically my working partner at United. We do everything together and I try to help him as much as I can. He has a lot of qualities and for me he is maybe the one of the most complete number 9s.” #mufc [Sun] pic.twitter.com/4AXsZB1O05

Lukaku: “In the next two or three years you will see the best out of Marcus because he can do everything a footballer needs to do. For me, I just try to help him in this process and hopefully along the way we can achieve great things together." #mufc [Sun] pic.twitter.com/TocHYSuzOc

It’s not the first time that Marcus has been praised by a teammate whether an international one or club one and it’s becoming clear he’s doing more in training than he is on match-day.
