It’s no secret that Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United and Jose Mourinho is willing to listen to offers, and now another voice of the footballing world has had their say on one of the sagas of the summer.
Martial was enjoying a fine 2017-18 season and was one of Man United’s biggest goal threats before Mourinho decided to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window.
A decision which heavily damaged the 22-year-old’s game time, and relationship with the boss.
Retired professional Stan Collymore has had his say on the situation, being brutally honest on what Mourinho needs to do about it.
The now-TalkSport pundit told The Sunday People: “Anthony Martial comes across as quite cocky and quite moody, but I actually wonder if that indicates some self-doubt.
“Whatever the case, it’s not working for him at Manchester United and Jose Mourinho finally needs to biff him off.”
Martial currently isn’t with the United squad for pre-season training after the birth of his second challenge, but reports suggest he doesn’t plan on returning before sealing a move away from Old Trafford.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich are said to be the France international’s biggest suitors, so it’s definitely one to keep an eye on until the international transfer windows closes on August 31.
