Todd Kane has been told he can leave Chelsea on a free transfer this summer, according to Football Insider.
The report claims that despite having one year remaining on his current deal, he can leave for nothing to go in search of regular first-team football.
By allowing him to leave for nothing, the defender will be hopeful of securing a move with a number of Football League clubs said to be interested in the 24-year-old.

Chelsea will reportedly ask for a sell-on clause to be inserted into any deal, which will see them benefit from any future transfers.
Once highly rated at Chelsea, Kane was on the cusp of the first-team squad just a few years back before injuries saw his career tail off.
Kane has previously spent time on loan at Nottingham Forest and Bristol City in the Football League, while he has also had loan spells abroad with NEC Nijmegen and FC Groningen in the Eredivisie.
