Manchester United star Paul Pogba believes he had a better second season with the club than his first season despite the problems he ran into with Jose Mourinho.
The Frenchman’s statistics certainly read better but it’s fair to say he’s had an up and down season, perhaps more so than his first campaign at Old Trafford.
The former Juventus man started the season incredibly well and was at the core of United’s ability to blow away teams but he soon fizzled out following his injury.
Pogba returned but appeared to not fully recover and couldn’t rediscover his form until he was benched on and off until the end of the season.
The talented midfielder’s form in the end saw him called up to the World Cup squad for his nation and he’s impressed so far, proving the decision that was made was the correct one.
Pogba: "This year was a better season than last year, I was more decisive, I had a big injury and I was on the bench, it's an experience. The coach, you have to accept it and as I always say – the answer is on the pitch.” #mufc pic.twitter.com/8AtShIyZYU

Paul has clearly been affected by Mourinho’s decision to bench him, adding to the rumours that the pair share a frosty relationship though it’s not as bad as been said.
It was reported that the academy product wanted to leave, such was the breakdown in their relationship but both have since cleared the air publicly.
