Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku has made it clear what his role is with Belgium at the World Cup after some debate opened up on what he’s meant to do.
The former Everton man was asked to get involved in his side’s build up play by Eden Hazard and even the manager Roberto Martinez said his role is more than just to finish off moves.
Lukaku though is adamant that he’s a goalscorer first but is more than happy to help his teammates in building attacks as they chase football’s most glorious trophy.
The 25 year old is his country’s top goalscorer already and his goals against both Panama and Tunisia were crucial in their qualification to the next round.
Romelu may have revealed just why he’s in such good form, claiming when there’s a balance of working hard and having fun, there’s more to enjoy.
Lukaku: “I’m a goalscorer so I'm here to score goals, but I want to help my team-mates reach something so we are working hard. Football is all about having fun, but playing to win at the same time. When you find the right balance there's so much more to enjoy.” #mufc [BBC]

Jose Mourinho will surely be watching his player’s fantastic performances so far with a keen eye and will definitely feel he made the right call in investing in the Belgian.
Before purchasing Lukaku, the Portuguese manager was said to be interested in Alvaro Morata but decided against a potential move for the now Chelsea man.
