Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified a need to invest in four more positions despite already completing the transfers of Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred and Porto’s Diogo Dalot.
Manchester United officially revealed their signings in quick succession with the former expected to be more a regular than the latter.
Mourinho was said to have wanted to complete a squad overhaul in order to compete with Pep Guardiola’s record breaking Manchester City.
Apparently he’s sticking to that though by attempting to make an incredible six signings in one summer transfer window, especially considering it’s one that’ll be shorter than usual and a World Cup one too.
Jose has already discussed his happiness with his attacking options and insisted his investments will focus on his midfield and defence.

Of course both Fred and Diogo address those positions respectively but the Portuguese manager still hopes to sign additional players.
The assumption is that at centre-back and left-back Mourinho wants top proven players while the midfielder and forwards could be useful back-up options with potential like Dalot is.
United’s need for top defenders has never been more apparent and the former Real Madrid manager has already managed to build an impressive attacking unit that can take on any opposition team.
