Turkish side Fenerbahce could turn their attention to David Ospina, according to reports in the country.
It’s becoming clearer that there will be a major overhaul of the playing squad during this, Unai Emery’s first summer in charge of Arsenal.
Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno have already arrived with Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Lucas Torreira reportedly set to join them soon which has led to some players heavily linked with an exit from the Emirates.
One of them is David Ospina whose place at Arsenal has been put into considerable doubt with the signing of Bernd Leno.
Ospina is currently away with the Colombian national team but was asked about his future at Arsenal.
“I’m now fully concentrated on the national team,” Ospina told Vivaro News.
“I know that Arsenal signed a new goalkeeper but I’m focussed on the national team and after the World Cup, I will think what to do next.”
Ospina was a target for Fenerbahce last summer and reports in the country suggest that the Turkish side will make him a priority signing following Arsenal’s acquisition of Bernd Leno.
It’s the right time for David Ospina to move on. The Colombian has been a decent player at times during the last four years but with Bernd Leno as the club’s new number one, it’s for the best that Ospina moves on.
