Blackburn Rovers are planning a double swoop to sign Chelsea pair Trevoh Chalobah and Michael Hector.
The Mirror claim that Tony Mowbray’s men want to sign Chalobah on loan as they prepare for life in the Championship.
Mowbray wants Chalobah to be partnered by Hector, who spent last season on loan at Hull.
Chalobah is one of the highest rated youngsters at Stamford Bridge and has spent the past week training with the England senior squad following an invitation from Gareth Southgate.
The 18-year-old has impressed for Chelsea’s academy and could be given the chance to take the first steps into senior football at Blackburn.
Hector has never managed to make step up to the Premier League after a surprise move to Stamford Bridge from Reading during Jose Mourinho’s time at the club.
Due to turn 26 later this month, Hector is likely to be moved on permanently this summer in order to get his career back on track.
