Borrusia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has suggested that his side club unlikely to move for Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata this summer, despite reports linking him with a move to the Bundesliga giants.
Speaking to Bild, Zorc confirmed that the Spaniard would likely be too expensive for Dortmund to sign.
I would say that Morata is too expensive – without knowing exact sums.
The Spaniard had been linked with a move to Germany as he continues to have his Chelsea future questioned.
The former Real Madrid forward struggled during the second half of his first year in England and has since been linked with the likes of Milan and Juventus.
Recent reports have suggested that Morata could be included in a deal for Chelsea to sign Christian Pulisic.
The American winger is reportedly a target for the Blues, who are facing the prospect of losing the likes of Eden Hazard and Willian.
However, it is yet to be seen how interested Morata is in a move to Germany, with a return to Italy thought to be his preferred destination.
