Arsenal have reportedly named their price for Aaron Ramsey with just one year left on the Welshman’s contract (via The Mirror).
Arsenal have a worrying history of key players running down their contract and it seems as if it is continuing.
From Robin Van Persie to Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, only one of those ended well and Arsenal fans will be hoping for something similar with Aaron Ramsey.
The Welshman has had one of the best seasons of his career but is being strongly linked with a move away from the club this summer.
The 27-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of next season and has been linked with Manchester United, Juventus and FC Barcelona.
Now, it is being reported that Arsenal would want a fee of around £40 million for the man who has 11 goals and 12 assists in his 30 appearances in all competitions.
Losing Aaron Ramsey would be a significant blow given his recent form. He has spent a long time developing at Arsenal and is coming into the prime of his career but has hardly been consistent over that time. If a good fee and suitable replacement can be brought in then it wouldn’t be the end of the world.
