Chelsea have ruled out Brendan Rodgers’ chances of becoming their new manager as they are angry about his lack of faith in loanee Charly Musonda
Antonio Conte is expected to leave in the summer after a disappointing season with the Blues and Rodgers has been linked with the job.
The Telegraph report that Chelsea have now ruled him out of the running to take over at Stamford Bridge because they are angry about his use of the loanee.
Musonda was sent to Celtic on an 18-month loan in January, but has started just two league games at Celtic Park.
It is rumoured that Chelsea feel let down by this as they were promised he would get game time, and it’s not the first time this has happened with the Northern Irishman’s clubs.
Rodgers, who was youth team coach at Chelsea from 2004 until 2008, made the same promises when loaning both Josh McEachran and Victor Moses, when manager of Swansea and Liverpool, respectively.
Being ruled out of the job in London will not worry Rodgers though, as he has just won his second successive title at Celtic and is on course to do back to back trebles with the Glasgow side..
