Arsenal target Caglar Soyuncu has revealed what conditions he needs to be met if he is to move to the Emirates (via Sport Witness).
It’s going to be fascinating to see what sort of players Arsenal go after in the coming weeks in the summer transfer window.
With a new scouting structure and a new manager incoming, things are certainly going to change on the transfer front.
Many of the players the Gunners have been linked with currently play in the Bundesliga and that is again the case here.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the 21-year-old Freiburg defender, Caglar Soyuncu in recent weeks and now, the Turkish international has spoken about his conditions for a potential transfer.
“For me, it must be a team that I can play first,” Soyuncu told Ajansspor.
“As a defender, I do not have a chance to play every game. We will evaluate my chances of playing.
“At the moment it’s something of an exaggeration. It’s best to wait. The English league is a very good league.”
So, it seems that Caglar Soyuncu is keen on a move away from Freiburg provided that he still has a chance to play first-team football. That may be a problem at Arsenal given the club’s current wealth of young centre-backs. It’s unclear is Soyuncu is good enough to become a starting centre-back but if he is to compete with the likes of Rob Holding, Calum Chambers and Konstantinos Mavrapanos then things may be difficult.
