Manchester United fans at Old Trafford gave Arsene Wenger a classy ovation ahead of the club’s clash with Arsenal in the race for the top four spots.
The French manager is set to leave the London club at the end of the season and much was made of how the supporters will act ahead of the match.
United fans did not disappoint however, showing Wenger plenty of respect with Sir Alex Ferguson even handing him a memento.
Jose Mourinho was involved as well though the testimonial feel to the game perhaps played a part in how his side played.
The Red Devils opened the scoring through Paul Pogba but Henrikh Mkhitaryan equalised after the break to make sure they wouldn’t just cruise through the match.

Unfortunately both sides didn’t show any real intensity in a fixture that used to end with both sets of players kicking lumps out of each other.
There were pieces of quality on show though not consistent enough to truly keep Old Trafford on it’s feet following Arsene’s ovation.
Mourinho will definitely be unhappy with how his Manchester United players performed regardless of the result or expectations on the match and he will be questioning their mentalities.
