Arsenal are reportedly looking at the possibility of signing Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi in the summer transfer window (via The Mirror).
It’s going to be a busy transfer window for Arsenal once it reopens in the summer.
With the World cup and the Premier League changes, it’s a shortened window in which to do it all.
Most Arsenal fans agree that the club needs to bring in a centre-back, a goalkeeper and a central midfielder and it seems that there is one potential target in the latter position.
Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi has had a standout season with no Premier League midfielder making more defensive actions (clearance, interceptions and blocked shots).
Ndidi joined the 2016 Premier League champions from Genk back in January 2017 and has gone on to make over 50 appearances for the club.
The 21-year-old is also a reportedly a target for some of the other big clubs in England like Liverpool and Manchester United.
Wilfred Ndidi would be an excellent signing for Arsenal. The Nigerian international is absolutely the type of midfielder which the Gunners have needed for the last decade. There are obvious comparisons between him and former Leicester man, N’Golo Kante. The Gunners missed out on Kante in 2017, let’s hope they don’t do the same here.
