Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has set his side a points target to reach for the current Premier League season in order for it to be considered a successful one.
The Portuguese manager has managed to get his club 74 points with four matches remaining as they currently sit in second place.
Liverpool are just behind them with 71 points but also have a game in hand from which Mourinho will certainly look to take advantage of.
Although Manchester City have already been crowned champions, Mourinho has spoken about how important it is to finish in second place and not take the remaining games for granted.
United play Arsenal, Brighton, West Ham and Watford for their remaining Premier League games but will also have the FA Cup final to contend for now.
Mourinho: "The feeling now is we need two victories and one draw to finish second with 81 points. If we manage to do that, finishing second with 81 points behind untouchable City, it's a good season. The season is successful if we finish second.” #mufc [Sky]

Mourinho: “If we do that it's successful because 81 points breaks the 80-point target and gives us much more points than last season. It means we won more matches, scored more goals, conceded less and to have better results against the top teams.” #mufc [Sky]

Red Devils’ supporters are already in agreement with Jose that a second placed finish and FA Cup win would be considered a decent season though there are frustrations.
The way the former Real Madrid man’s side were knocked out of the Carabao Cup and Champions League in particular did not sit well with fans.
Manchester United’s inconsistencies in the league also saw them fall behind an impressive City side and supporters are not looking forward to that repeating next campaign.
