Juventus have turned down the chance to sign Marouane Fellaini on a free over the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The midfielder, whose contract expires in June, has only made two starts since September amid a series of injury problems and looks almost certain to find a new club in the summer after failing to strike a new deal at Old Trafford.
Besiktas, Galatasaray, Paris Saint Germain, AS Monaco, Lazio and Juventus have all reportedly expressed interest in handing the Belgian an improved contract.
But according to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Juventus will not entertain the idea of signing Fellaini on a free and will focus on other targets instead.
Now that would have been quite the sight. Just picture it: Miralem Pjanić caressing the ball carefully, Paulo Dybala gliding around further up the pitch, Blaise Matuidi and Sami Khedira seamlessly keeping things in check, Douglas Costa twisting and turning out wide, and then, there he is, a tree like figure in a kind of bumbling frenzy, arms and legs all over the pace, the ball bouncing off him in totally unpredictable fashion.
That said, a move to Italy is likely for Fellaini, who regards Serie A as a league better aligned with his quality than the Turkish Super Lig.
