The Evening Standard has claimed that Arsenal have not approached any potential replacement for Arsene Wenger (via Evening Standard).
It was the weekend’s big Arsenal story when news broke that Arsenal had reportedly held talks with the former Borussia Dortmund manager, Thomas Tuchel.
The reports initially came from Germany with the publication, Kicker claiming that Tuchel would not become the next Bayern Munich manager because he was moving to a club in England.
They claimed that Arsenal were a ‘hot candidate’ to be that club after the two parties held talks.
Well, now reports in both England and Germany suggest otherwise with the Evening Standard claiming that ‘Arsenal are yet to seriously explore any alternatives’ to manager Arsene Wenger.
The paper also proposes same potential candidate list as previous reports with Carlo Ancelotti, Joachim Low, Max Allegri and Leonardo Jardim joining Thomas Tuchel as targets.
German publication Süddeutsche Zeitung has also claimed that there is no chance that Thomas Tuchel will end up at Arsenal.
Thomas Tuchel is a very good manager but there are doubts over his suitability to Arsenal. The former Dortmund boss had a very public falling out with Arsenal’s new head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat while they were at the Bundesliga side.
