Chelsea star makes bold prediction ahead of Spurs clash

N’Golo Kante has backed his Chelsea team-mate and fellow countryman Olivier Giroud to score against Spurs.

As reported by the Mirror, Kante believes that it is only a matter of time before the striker breaks his duck for Chelsea.

They will come – and maybe against Tottenham next weekend. Hopefully he will score, and we can win that game.

After joining from Arsenal in the January transfer window, Giroud is yet to find the back of the net in the Premier League for his new club.

Giroud has scored once, but that came in the FA Cup against Championship strugglers Hull City.

The Blues have struggled for goals from their frontmen of late. Summer signing Alvaro Morata has endured a goal drought in the Premier League casting back to Boxing Day.

Giroud was signed in January to provide competition for the Spaniard but the former Arsenal man has largely been favoured by Antonio Conte, who has either started him or deployed Eden Hazard as a false nine.
