Arsenal secured their first Premier League win in over a month as they best Watford 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

It’s been a good few days at Arsenal after what has been a disastrous few months.

Victory over Milan in the Europa League on Thursday was followed up with another win today, this time in the Premier League against Watford.

Things started well for the Gunners on the pitch when Shkodran Mustafi headed in from a fine Mesut Ozil set-piece delivery.

Petr Cech kept Arsenal in the game in the first-half and they had to wait until after the break to make things more comfortable. Henrikh Mkhitaryan found Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who rounded the keeper to double Arsenal’s lead.

Things became a little more doubtful in the following moments when Ainsley Maitland-Niles conceded a penalty. Troy Deeney stepped up to bring his side back into proceedings but, amazingly, Petr Cech pulled off his first penalty save for the club.

Aubameyang returned the favour to Mkhitaryan a little later to put the game beyond doubt for Arsenal.
