Chelsea were in the running to sign Richarlison last summer before he decided to leave Fluminense for Watford but the Blues have been linked with reviving their interest in him once the summer transfer window opens.
Arsenal have also been credited with interest in the Brazilian forward and Watford could be forced to cash-in on Richarlison after spending just one year together in order to keep their finances in check.
The Mirror state that Watford will be reliant on offloading some of their most prized assets in the summer in a bid to stay in profit, and Richarlison along with midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure are the most likely candidates to be sold with their value considerably higher than what the Hornets bought them for.
Watford spent just £11.2m on the 20-year-old last summer and he has netted five goals and provided five assists in 30 Premier League appearances so far this season, and his value has sky-rocketed as a result.
News of Watford’s potentially willingness to cash-in on the attacker will be good news for both Chelsea and Arsenal who are said to be interested in signing him.
