Blow for Chelsea as Barcelona receive massive injury boost ahead of second leg

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta is set to make his return from injury against Chelsea this week, according to AS.

The midfielder is due to return to first-team training tomorrow ahead of their second leg at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night with the teams locked at 1-1 after the first match.

The hamstring injury was sustained in the recent 1-0 win against Atletico Madrid and it was at first thought that he would miss the second leg but he has made better progress than was first anticipated.

The Spanish midfielder is essential to the Catalan club and having him back for the tie could make all the difference with the midfield battle likely to hold a key.

He helped set up Lionel Messi’s strike in the first leg to secure a crucial away goal that have a big say on how the tie ends up this week.
