Antonio Conte has revealed that his family members have expressed their concern about his recent touchline behaviour.
As per a report from the Express, Conte claims that his father was surprised to see him so calm and still during the club’s recent defeat to Watford.
My father watched the game against Watford and phoned me up and said: ‘I didn’t see you with the right anger, with the right passion. You finished the game with a voice, and that’s not for you, this.’ He told me that.
Maybe in the future, when I become older, for sure I have to try and stay more calm and live more relaxed the game. But I think, also, this is my strength. To stay on the touchline and push my players, to push myself.
The Blues fell to a heavy 4-1 defeat at Vicarage Road, a game where reports suggested more dropped points could’ve spelt the end for the Italian at Stamford Bridge.
Conte was seen stood emotionless on the side, watching his side dismantled by Javi Gracia’s men, something that has been a regular occurrence for Chelsea this season as they fail to defend their Premier League title.
Throughout his time at Chelsea, the former Juventus boss has become known for his frantic celebrations with both the fans and his own coaching staff.
Conte can often be seen kicking every pass and jumping for every header as he bellows his instructions from the sidelines.
