Manchester United fans were not let down by their captain of the night Paul Pogba after his performance vs Everton at Goodison Park.
The French star ran the show for the Red Devils, providing both assists for the team’s two goals vs Sam Allardyce’s side.
United travelled to the home team on the back of three consecutive draws and after tonight’s result, must’ve felt a huge burden off of their shoulders.
Criticism was starting to creep into the fanbase with some supporters even calling for Jose Mourinho’s head despite the successes of last season.
Either way with Pogba putting in a display as he did against the Toffees, supporters will have no more concerns about the club’s wellbeing.
Give me a decade of Paul Pogba & Anthony Martial playing together for Manchester United. I'm here for it.

Another fine finish from Lionel Lingard (& Martial). Pogba’s so creative in that role. Be even better when his shots start going in. Top win

Enjoyable 2nd hf. Any thoughts that these players aren't with their manager is utter nonsense. Dug deep + looked to kill game by actively searching for 2nd. Pogba + Lingard brilliant. Mata took the game by scruff of the neck. Midfield worked today. Good start to the year.

Pogba is different gravy. Needs to dominate games in this way more consistently but boy is he good.

José Mourinho better not change from 4-3-3 after watching this performance. It is a much better option with Pogba being given the licence to roam forward.

This the Paul Pogba we want to see each week. Mobile, dangerous, attacking, creative, dominant, influential. Totally different to the Southampton game. #MUFC

Paul must be wondering what on Earth is going on with his fellow midfielders with quite a bit of uncertainty surrounding a number of them.
Michael Carrick has been out for most of the season with a mysterious injury and is unlikely to feature for the club beyond the current season.
Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera‘s contracts both run out at the end of the season as well leaving just Nemanja Matic and youngster Scott McTominay as the side’s other midfielders.
Perhaps Jose Mourinho is looking to refresh the club’s engine room in next summers transfer window but could also possibly rely on some homegrown talent.
Andreas Pereira and Timothy Fosu-Mensah have both been away on loan with the pair capable of slotting into United’s midfield if necessary but the question is- will Mourinho offer them the opportunity?
