Juventus manager Max Allegri has made a pretty unsettling claim about Argentinian star Paulo Dybala who is currently on Manchester United’s radar.
Despite already signing Romelu Lukaku in the summer, reports have continued to link an unhappy Dybala to the Red Devils.
United also have Zlatan Ibrahimovic and of course the two young talents of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial amongst their ranks.
However, fans are still excited by the possible transfer and have called on Paul Pogba to encourage his former teammate to move to Old Trafford.
Allegri though believes that there’s something wrong about Paulo that most big clubs don’t realise and he decided to share this information with the world, perhaps to deter interest in his player.
According to M.E.N, Max said: “He [Dybala] cannot play centre-forward for a big club, where the distance to goal is much shorter. Just look at his best goals for Juve: they’re often when he’s running from deeper positions.”
Whilst it would make sense to cut ties with the South-American after hearing the above, it’s possible that Jose Mourinho is interested in him for a different reason.
Although Paulo Dybala is a versatile attacker, it could be that the Portuguese manager doesn’t see him as a striker and instead as a number ten.
Manchester United’s issues in the attacking midfield department have been well documented and despite Jesse Lingard‘s recent purple patch in that position, it could be that Mourinho is still trying to add to that area of the pitch.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been as disappointing as ever, with reports that Jose is fed up with the Armenian growing stronger by the day so may be Dybala is his replacement.
